Customer Care Assistant

Job Description:

Steel Dynamics, a leading steel manufacturing company based in New York City, is seeking a dedicated and energetic Customer Care Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the customer service industry.

Responsibilities: 1. Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a professional and timely manner. 2. Assist customers with product information, pricing, order status, and other inquiries. 3. Process orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently. 4. Resolve customer complaints and issues in a positive and proactive manner. 5. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to promote products and services. 6. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions. 7. Contribute ideas for improving customer service processes and procedures. 8. Provide feedback on customer trends and preferences to management.

Requirements: 1. 1 year of experience in customer service or a related field. 2. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. 3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 4. Persuasion skills to upsell products and services. 5. Creativity to come up with innovative solutions to customer problems. 6. Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. 7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software. 8. High school diploma or equivalent.
