Remote Accountant

Job Description:

Airgas is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Accountant to join our team in San Diego, California. As a part-time associate level accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounting and possess the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities: - Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger - Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations - Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information - Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes - Provide financial support to various departments within the organization - Maintain confidentiality of financial information - Support the month-end and year-end close processes

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field - 3+ years of experience in accounting - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Resilient and adaptable personality traits - Soft skills in negotiation and creativity - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
