Job Description - Customer Care Specialist

Job Description:


Discover Financial Services is seeking a part-time Customer Care Specialist with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our team in San Jose, California. As an Associate level position, the ideal candidate will be resourceful, driven, possess strong problem-solving skills, and demonstrate leadership qualities.


Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional customer service through various channels including phone, email, and chat - Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide product information - Assist customers with account issues, billing inquiries, and technical support - Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution - Work collaboratively with other departments to provide a seamless customer experience - Meet and exceed pre-determined customer satisfaction goals - Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions - Continuously develop product knowledge to effectively serve customers - Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities - Uphold company policies and procedures while promoting a culture of diversity and inclusivity


Requirements: - Minimum of 4 years of experience in customer service or a related field - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software - Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills - Leadership qualities and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting - High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
