Location and Schedule

This is a hybrid position based in our Buenos Aires, Vicente López office. 

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The candidate must have a solid background in accounting and financial reporting, as well as proficiency in utilizing Power BI for data analysis and reporting purposes. As an Assistant Controller, you will work closely with the Revenue Manager and other members of the finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and to support decision-making processes within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.

Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Prepare and review bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and record accrual entries.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.

Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Assist proactively in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards using Power BI for data visualization and reporting.

Assist with internal and external audits.

Mentor and train junior members of the finance team.

Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Work cross-functionally with various teams to automate and optimize processes and reports that impact the speed and accuracy of accounting

Supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting departments

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

2 years of Big 4 experience

Proven experience in Power BI

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP). Advanced understanding of Excel formulas (Pivot Tables).

Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong technical skills and experience in financial reporting and US GAAP accounting 

Proven management skills including supervision and mentoring.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
