CDI - EU R&I Packaging Manager

The main missions of the Europe zone are to:

· Enable the rapid development of the business through the realization of ambitious and profitable innovation plans.

· Create unique and better consumer experiences compared to the competition

· Accelerate packaging innovation and plant-based product innovation through an advanced understanding of the consumer experience;

· Exploiting Europe’s external ecosystem to accelerate innovation;

· Enable and facilitate the implementation of local and European productivity plans.

The R&I packaging Manager Europe participates in the development and implementation of the innovation, renovation and packaging competitiveness pipeline for Europe, in accordance with the strategic axes defined in the CBUs. He/She is in charge of defining the action plans to guarantee the marketing of the best packaging at the best costs. He is responsible for identifying the R&I means to be implemented and coordinating the requests of his R&I packaging peers to ensure the execution of the pipeline.

His role is also to lied with the R&I Advanced technologies teams and the other members of the Packaging Europe team in order to ensure mutual enrichment in the medium and long term (expressions of the country's needs and enrichment of the local plan).

Main responsibilities for this role:

- Contributes to the development of the Brief in conjunction with its privileged interlocutors (local R&I, Marketing) and ensures that all aspects of the packaging brief are well defined (according to the 360° Holistic pack design wheel tool), in particular the needs related to the ambitions of circularity, recycling and distribution chain constraints.

- In charge of developing the packaging (primary, secondary and tertiary) according to the principles of eco design, DTSV and focused on value and unique experience for the consumer.

- Responsible for the packaging part of the projects entrusted to him from the Define phase to the launch phase and in particular ensure the management of projects, directly or through his collaborators, in terms of quality, time and cost: he can be Project Leader or R&I Project Manager as a member of a project team led by another function (IRO)

- Manage, directly or via his collaborators, the projects for which he is responsible according to the protocols and tools in force (INNOPRO, Artemis, IPROVIEW ...)

- Identify, evaluate and prioritize the necessary actions and resources to be implemented on its portfolio of projects directly or through its employees.

- Responsible in particular for the implementation of pack projects in the factory, resource management, the R&I budget of tests and the prioritization on the portfolio of projects in its perimeter.

- Contribute to the development of the packaging development strategy for the different brands and be at the origin of new ideas, force of proposal.

-Manages a technicians, co-builds their development plan and ensures their skills development on different technologies on all EDP, Water and SNF categories as well as on the understanding of consumer uses and experiences.

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered. Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the FMCG industry, in the field of packaging

Experience in project management and matrix organization

Skills :

• Technical expertise in packaging design (knowledge of different plastic materials: PS, PET, PP, PLA... and paper / cardboard, knowledge of the different technologies to manufacture packaging (ISBM, EBM, Thermoforming, labelers, end of lines, cashers, film makers, etc.
• Knowledge of packaging lines in Danone factories in Spain in all categories.
• Knowledge of packaging regulations in the food industry.
• Knowledge of tools and methods to develop and evaluate packaging with a consumer experience superior to the competition. (UX methods, DTSV...)
• Knowledge of regulations and developments in Spain on the recyclability of materials, etc.
• Project management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Managerial skills with a strong interest and motivation for the development of people.
• Proactive, solution- and business-oriented mindset, continuous improvement
• Flexible and agile
