Job Description:
Senior Accountants take ownership of reporting costs, productivity, margins, and expenditures for the company. They will perform complex accounting activities and  financial analyses to enforce and monitor compliance with company-wide  accounting policies and procedures.

The Senior Accountant should efficiently work in a fast-growing environment and  contribute to process improvement. They will work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative  team and have the opportunity to gain exposure with the most senior members of the  financial team.

Objectives:

• Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets, and  expenditures
• Generate necessary accounting reports requested by the Controller / Assistant Controller
• Coaching the Accountants and Bookkeepers to handle the transactional accounting.
• Prepare the month-end and year-end close process, including the month-end journal entries and reconciliation

• Assist with financial and tax audits

• Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments

Main Tasks:

• Contribute to our monthly cash-flow analysis & provide variance analysis for  expense accounts

• Review accounts receivable/payable and payroll reconciliations

• Review the General Ledger reconciliations

• Train and mentor junior staff

• Perform month-end and year-end close process

• Contribute to tax and book audits. Process tax forms as needed

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results

• Create/manage reports and financial statements

• Any other tasks related to the work field requested ad hoc

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 3/4+ years’ experience in a progressive accounting/bookkeeping role

• Deep understanding of international Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Proven industry experience as an accountant, preferably in a senior role.

• Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting practices

• Worked in audits as a client or auditor. 
• Experience working in audits with a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus.

• Knowledge of ERP and CRM systems (SAP, QB, Etc.)

• Advanced English written and spoken

• Advanced Excel skills

• Preferred - Professional accounting certification, including CMA, CGA, CPA, or CA
• Flexibility with working hours, this position will require meetings with teams/clients in PST, CST, and EST time zones from time to time
