Apply for our Medical Assistant (MA) job opening today!ResponsibilitiesProvide assistance to the doctor as neededGather/prep pathology and lab samplesHelp clients ready for examinationsTake notes of all doctor-to-patient instructionsProvide responses to all patient inquiries Document (scribe) all provider/patient meetings; enter in EMRAssist physician during patient procedures and surgeriesCollect and prepare path/lab specimensAssist patients in preparing for examDocument medical instructions given to patients/educate patientsAnswer patient questions in person, via email and on the phoneScribe during patient visit with provider; use EMR to enter medical histories and prescriptionsSkills & QualificationsMA program graduateCurrent First Aid/Basic Life Support certificatesHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ year(s) as an MA in a healthcare setting a plusAllscripts EMR knowledge preferredGraduate of a Medical Assistant programUp-to-date first aid and BLS certificationH.S. graduate, or GEDPrefer at least 1 year as a Medical Assistant in a doctor's officeExperience with Allscripts EMR a plus
