Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), headquartered in Bengaluru, India, was founded in 1996 as a captive unit to support Mercedes-Benz groups Research & Development and IT. We started with a focus on topics ranging from CAD, CAE and IT programming for all of the group’s business units. Meanwhile, we have moved up in value to cater to advanced topics in vehicle engineering and IT technologies. We are now responsible for new methods in Design and CAE, software content for control units, head units and various critical engineering tools. Important components of digital dependencies on overall product development, is located now at MBRDI. The satellite office in Pune specializes in interior & exterior component design, wiring harness, IT for Sales. The establishment of MBRDI is in line with the Mercedes - Benz group’s ambition to attract the world’s best engineering talent and form a global footprint for its R&D and IT competencies. MBRDI also aims to partner closely with suppliers in India for its activities in product development and IT services. We are now one of the largest developments centers outside of Germany, employing over 8000 skilled engineers aside from being an integral part of all business units and brands of Mercedes-Benz worldwide

Job Responsibilities :

· Get involved in DevOps by deploying large Salesforce changes for whole business units, creating standardized release models (“develop once, deploy anywhere”), and by setting up regional pipelines for future success with faster, safer processes and workflows.

· End to end implementation of Salesforce CI/CD pipeline using GitHub actions.

· Helping developers with the packaging issues.

· Sync with Agile teams on deployments, timelines and communications.

· Overseeing the DevOps process, end to end – including backups.

· Assigning team permissions and delegating access to orgs and DevOps processes.

· Maintain Salesforce environments.

Skills Required:

• 3+ years of work experience in a Salesforce DevOps or similar role.

· Experience with the agile way of working and SAFe framework.

• Solid understanding of how to configure, deploy, manage and maintain Salesforce Applications.
• Experience in handling salesforce metadata, environments, sandbox management and unlocked packaged deployments.
• Proficiency with source control, continuous integration, and testing pipelines.
• Experience with Version Control systems (GitHub) and system registration, setup, branching strategy, environment strategy, etc.
• Fluency in one or more scripting languages such as YAML.
• Experience with Containers and orchestration services like Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery tools such as Jenkins, GitHub actions.
• Knowledge about cloud security and best practices.
• Being a great listener, collaborator, communicator, and mentor.
• A strong background in open-source technology and DevOps tools.
• Good Communications skills.
• English is our corporate language; German is an asset.

Education - BE / B Tech
