Description
Location: Chakan, Pune
Job Responsibilities: 1. Lead Mercedes Production System (MPS) Advanced Projects, Kurz Project, CI Projects in Production and Logistics areas for Quality, Cost, Efficiency improvements: Detail out project Objectives with target KPI, define cross-functional team, scope of work from the Plant development plan in discussion with project lead Diagnosis phase - Current state mapping by time study, analysis with CGIS, spaghetti diagram, layout, identify pain points, brainstorming workshop for improvements, benchmarking study with other CKD plants, potential calculation, organize extended meeting for project steering, prepare & organize Steering committee meetings Implementation phase - Tactical implementation plan, ideal state mapping, evaluation of ideas and implementing the feasible ideas, co-ordinating with process planners / logistics planners / maintenance for idea implementation, revised state mapping, prepare & organize Steering committee meetings Stabilization phase - Monitor the results, final state mapping, Operator work Ergonomy study, realized savings calculations, Standard Work Instructions - SAB preparation, handover of open task list, prepare & organize Steering committee meetings, documentation of project Monitor the improvement process and analyze the results of the improvement process 2. Coordinate with Cross Functional Team to achieve project targets and steer execution of various measures for improvements Liaise with Process Planners and Production to understand requirements for new products in terms of production processes, equipments and tools, and with Quality for quality requirements, and finalization of plans. Liaise with Logistics planners to understand requirements for the line related to special trolleys, special material handling equipments, warehouse management etc. Support implementation of CI measures by providing services of CI workshop, manage and train resources in CI workshop, ensure availability of CI material and tools Monitor investments for various projects Prepare reports on project status and provide to Incharge - Process Planning and, if required, to Mercedes-Benz AG 3. Interact with management and update them on MPS/CI implementation levels; recommend measures to improve MPS implementation levels Monitor the improvement process and analyze the results of the improvement process Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts in Production and Logistics Lead CI and Low cost automation, manage CI workshop Steer Plant Development Plan, agree on development targets, conduct workshops, identify projects, monitor the status Steer MPS League self assessments, identify areas of improvement and execute recommendations to improve the MPS implementation levels Drive CI-SFM, Wall of Fame and iShare initiatives; provide transparency on current status and recommendations to management on improvement potential 4. Execute trainings on MPS advanced topics and train future CI managers as and when required Monitor the improvement process and analyze the results of the improvement process Give training on Mercedes Benz production system related topics Support production on creating awareness about lean processes 5. Drive Lean production initiatives, project in the plant Qualifications
