Inhouse Service Technician (f/m/x)

Anton Paar will establish a new wholly-owned subsidiary in Vicente López, Buenos Aires, Argentina starting on January 2025. Therefore, we are looking for someone to join our team as Inhouse Service Technician.

Responsibilities:

• Providing technical support to customers via telephone and email.
• Deliver outstanding repair, maintenance, and calibration services.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, maintaining strong client relationships.
• Prepare estimates for the cost of repair
• Plan and document all repair and maintenance activities independently.
• Performing factory calibrations (ISO 17025, if required).
• Taking responsibility for personal warehouse / stock.
• Forwarding sales opportunities to Sales Representatives when instruments need to be replaced.
• Attending all necessary Anton Paar service trainings for the relevant product lines.

Requirements:

• Technical degree in Electronics or Mechanics, Chemistry, Physics, or another technical discipline. Bachelor degree and/or engineering degree in the related areas are a plus.
• Minimum of three years in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex analytical instruments.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Direct experience with analytical instruments is advantageous.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in reading electronic schematics, using test equipment, and performing tool-based repairs.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and passport.
• Occasional customer on-site visits for diagnosis and repairs.
