Sr. SW developer for Infotainment system - Navigation Positioning
Role Description
• Work closely with other teams to ensure a seamless and robust implementation and deployment for vehicle localization and mapping products for Navigation
• Support the production validation and verification of the mapping and localization algorithms using prototype vehicles, pre-production vehicles
• Analyse SW requirements and SW interfaces
• Development of SW application modules for Infotainment systems.
• Collaborate with Mercedes internal stakeholders and suppliers who are responsible for system components.
• Participate in all SW architecture and integration workshops
• C/C++ Coding and Unit Testing
• Develop, flash and test the application in Telematics Head Unit
Mandatory
- Strong programming skills in C, C++ with data structures
- Experience in one or more of the following areas related to sensor fusion, probabilistic filters (e.g. particle and/or Kalman filter, Bayesian), sensor processing, computer vision, point cloud processing, signal processing, sensor registration, sensor calibration, machine learning, deep learning, robotics.
- Algorithm development experience with mapping, localization, navigation, etc.
- Strong Mathematical background, capable of understanding and implementing new methods from papers
- Experience with object motion tracking algorithms.
- Demonstrated ability to build real-time algorithms
- Develop state of the art motion planning algorithms in C++
- Knowledge of state estimation, vehicle dynamics, vehicle kinematics
- Familiarity with Linux development and target environments
- Experience in python scripting is an advantage
Optional
- Experience in working with Automotive Radar/Lidar
- Machine learning theory
- Experience in Sensor perception for ADAS / AD
- Experience in calibrating cameras and 3D sensors and modifying/writing associated calibration routines.
- Interface with upstream decision/behavior planning and prediction.
Qualifications
- IIT/NIT grads having Masters thesis might be helpful (subject for thesis - computer vision, state estimation, digital signal processing)
