We are interested in an Outreach Manager Latin America, within the telecoms industry is responsible for driving new business acquisition through a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective sales techniques.

This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of telecommunications products and services, as well as a proven track record of successfully closing complex deals.

About the Team

GSMA Industry Services are an expanding area of the GSMA, delivering increasing benefit and impact to our members’ businesses. GSMA provide a variety of commercial grade digital services in the areas of Devices, eSIM, Networks, Interconnect, Roaming, Fraud, Security, Testing and Certification.

GSMA delivers its service capability through a focused and dynamic Industry Services team. GSMA utilizes best in class fulfilment partners and the latest technology to provide attractive and relevant offerings to the ecosystem on an ongoing basis.

A key area of GSMA’s focus is to not only expand its service provision to new customers, however also to develop and grow their Industry services portfolio within their current customers to meet the ongoing challenges of securing their networks and systems.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to obtain, develop and grow the current GSMA Industry Services customers in Latin America to deliver mutual value for GSMA. The candidate for this role will focused on; securing new business, retention, customer penetration, relationship development and product enhancement.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the telecoms sector.

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and market research.

Technical Expertise

Possess a strong understanding of telecommunications technologies, including but not limited to voice, data, cloud services, and network solutions.

Articulate technical features and benefits to clients, translating complex concepts into compelling value propositions.

Client Engagement

Cultivate and manage relationships with key decision-makers at prospective clients.

Conduct needs assessments to understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions.

Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that address client challenges.

Sales Presentations and Proposals

Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to potential clients, showcasing the technical capabilities of the telecoms offerings.

Create detailed proposals and quotes, ensuring alignment with client needs and budget constraints.

Negotiation and Closure

Lead negotiations with clients, addressing concerns and objections to close deals.

Work collaboratively with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts and agreements.

Market Analysis

Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.

Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team for adapting sales strategies based on market dynamics.

Reporting and Forecasting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts.

Regularly report on sales performance, presenting key metrics and insights to the leadership team.

About You

Proven track record of success in new business sales within the telecoms industry.

Experience in reverse logistic sector with knowledge in trade-in programs, buyback, used phone markets & circular economy.

Demonstrable solution sales process skills and complex sales cycles management. 

Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and articulate complex telecommunications solutions.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute effective sales plans.

Experience with CRM tools and sales analytics.

Ability to collaborate across functional teams.

Demonstrable working experience & background in Latin American countries.

Proven evidenced experience of excellent customer-facing skills, an understanding of cultural diversity, tailored behaviour and communication style when dealing with people of different cultures

Ability to build positive relationship within the GSMA services team at all levels.

Ability to build relationships across the GSMA organisation as a whole.

Strong stakeholder management to build relationships with both members and non-member customers

Highly competent in the use of the telephone / virtual communication mediums for relationship development, selling and negotiation.

  • Business Development

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the telecoms sector.
