Senior Specialist, Procurement Excellence

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :
As a Procurement Excellence senior specialist, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and enhancing the procurement processes and strategies within the organization. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager and is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing best practices, tools, and resources to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function. The Procurement Excellence senior specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure procurement operations align with the organization's objectives. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
Main responsibilities
Procurement Process Optimization: Collaborate with the Senior Manager and other stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement best practices, standardized procedures, and process improvements across all procurement activities. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools and procurement software to analyze procurement data, identify trends, and generate reports that provide actionable insights for decision-making. Contract Management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, including contract drafting, negotiation, execution, and ongoing management. Ensure that contracts are compliant, meet the organization's needs, and are efficiently managed. Technology Integration: Evaluate, implement, and maintain procurement technology solutions to streamline processes, increase automation, and enhance the overall efficiency of the procurement function. Training and Development: Collaborate with the Senior Manager to design and deliver training programs for buyers and users, ensuring they are well-versed in procurement best practices and tools. Compliance and Governance: Monitor and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging best practices, and recommend innovative solutions for process improvement.

CAPABILITY PROFILE – Required Background: Education background
• University Graduate Technical Skills and Experiences required
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive informed decision-making.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Both Japanese & English language (writing & speaking. above TOEIC 800 level)
• Proficiency in procurement software and data analytics tools. [SAP ERP, Zycus eSourcing, and/or Coupa OneBuy experience is a plus]
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis and reporting, Word for contract and document management, and PowerPoint for effective communication and presentation. Competencies to be successful on the job
