Accountant | Temporary to Permanent

The Company

Robert Half are currently partnering with an industry leading organisation in the recruitment of an Accountant on a temporary to permanent contract. Commencing ASAP, this is a is a hands-on role supporting with a variety of accounting activities across the group.

Located in the CBD the organisation offers a hybrid work arrangement of 1 day in the office and 4 days working from home. The role can be offered as a full-time position or as a 0.8FTE.

The Role

This role will see you working in a friendly and team focused environment where your duties will include:

• Accounts Payable - Processing supplier invoices, Drive invoice approval processes; Support with payment runs, Maintain supplier master data
• Accounts Receivable - Raise customer invoices, receipting, aged receivable reporting
• Reconciliations - Bank, and credit card reconciliations; Assist with monthly intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and the month-end close - preparing and posting journals including accruals and prepayments; balance sheet reconciliations; month-end variance analysis
• Supports tax and regulatory compliance - preparation and lodgement of BAS including GST and PAYG
• Assist with payroll processing across the group

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or commerce
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and familiarity with GST, PAYG
• Systems savvy and possess an intermediate level of Excel skills.
• You will need to demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines,
