Assistant Accountant - Contract Role

The Role:
We are partnering with a well-known global organisation in the CBD that is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a 6-month contract with possibility for extension. This role will be ideal for someone who is immediately available and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting day-to-day Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
• Assisting with payroll processes and related queries
• Daily reconciliation of sales, cost of sales
• Proven experience with month-end, general ledger and posting journal entries
• Processing and allocating payments, and performing bank reconciliations
• Assisting with ad-hoc accounting tasks as required

About You:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Assistant Accountant
• Experience in a fast paced environment is necessary
• Tech-savvy and quick to adapt to new ERP or finance systems
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
• Confident communicator, with the ability to liaise across finance and operational teams
• Must be immediately available and ready to start
