{"description": "DWS is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer / Quality Engineering Consultant with prior professional banking or financial services experience to join a major enterprise transformation program. You will play a key role in designing, building, and delivering robust automated testing frameworks supporting large-scale, customer-facing applications. This role suits a hands-on consultant who is passionate about quality engineering, automation, and embedding quality from day one across modern delivery teams.

Salary : Up to $190K (inc super) Max Term, OR $800/day ACN

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Expert-level automation engineering and quality engineering capability
• Prior professional experience working in a banking or financial services environment
• Very strongcoding skills in Java or JavaScript
• Strong experience with Node-based automation frameworks
• API automationexpertiseusing tools such as RestAssured, with strong JSON knowledge
• Significant experienceworking in Agile delivery environments and test management tools
• CI/CD experience, including Jenkins pipelines
• Strong understanding of Spring Boot microservices and Gradle-based build setups
• Experience aligning automation with existing test layers such as component and black-box testing
• Proven ability to design, implement, and uplift fully automated QE frameworks
• Strong understanding of shift-left testing principles, embedding quality early in the SDLC
• Ability to work closely with engineers, platform teams, and senior stakeholders
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Resilient, adaptable, and able tooperateacross varying levels of organisational maturity

Good to have:

• Financial Crime, AML, or Case Management domain exposure
• Cloud platform experience (AWS or Azure)
• Experience with modern UI automation tools such as Playwright
