Cloud Platforms Engineer - Confluent/Kafka

DWS are looking for Cloud Platform Engineers, preferably with Kafka, Confluent Cloud experience (GPC, AWS or Azure) to join our team in Melbourne & assist our client with a major program of work. The successful applicant will have strong & proven Confluent experience, along with Kafka (specifically Confluent Platform but preferably Confluent Cloud), have experience designing/building/supporting event driven services, & have a solid background in DevOps/Platform Engineering/SRE.

Length : 12 Months +
Start : ASAP
Rate : Up to $200,000 (inc super) or $900pd + GST through your ACN -depending on background & experience
Style : Hybrid; 3 days per week in the office
Location : Melbourne

Essential skills & experience:

• Knowledge of Kafka infrastructure, but experienced in designing/developing the use cases deployed to Kafka/Kafka Connect/Confluent Cloud
• Relevant experience GPC, AWS or Azure
• Infrastructure as Code skills & experience, preferably Terraform
• Containerisation using Docker
• Monitoring/Observability using New Relic, Sumo Logic (or relevant experience in Splunk, AppDynamics, Datadog etc.)
• Platform Access Controls/Security Concepts utilising RBAC controls, Oauth 2.0 client creds flow, mTLS, TLS
