Communications Manager

The Role

• Lead the development and delivery of internal and external communication strategies
• Shape and protect the organisation's brand, voice, and reputation
• Manage media relations, stakeholder communications, and public messaging
• Oversee digital channels including website, social media, and newsletters
• Partner with senior leaders to support strategic messaging and organisational priorities
• Drive engagement campaigns that connect with tenants, partners, and the wider community
• Manage crisis and issues communications with clarity and confidence
• Mentor and guide junior team members or external agencies where required

About You

• Proven experience in communications, PR, or corporate affairs (ideally within housing, government, or not-for-profit sectors)
• Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and providing strategic advice
• Experience managing media relationships and navigating complex issues
• Digitally savvy, with a solid understanding of content and channel strategy
• Organised, proactive, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities
• Passion for social impact and contributing to stronger communities
• A collaborative team player who brings both creativity and sound judgement
