Contracts & Procurement Advisor (Internal)

**INTERNAL OPPORTUNITY**

As Contracts & Procurement Advisor (Fixed Term) you will connect procurement strategy with frontline execution through business partnership and supplier performance.  

This is a diverse, fast paced role, where you will be responsible for: 

Procurement Execution & Support -

• Ensuring all purchasing activities comply with Stanmore's procurement policy and delegated authority limits; and
• Support sourcing activities and category management initiatives

Sourcing & Commercial Strategy

• Develop and execute RFx activities and tactical sourcing plans aligned to category strategies
• Conduct supplier and market analysis to support negotiation and contract development
• Provide commercial insights and support contract negotiations with new & existing vendors
• Evaluate vendor offers in line with procurement agreements & business requirements.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with site based teams to understand operational needs & procurement support requirements
• Provide procurement guidance and training to stakeholders
• Collaborate with contract owners and site teams to ensure contract compliance and effective vendor performance

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Identify and recommend cost saving or process improvement opportunities
• Resolve procurement-related queries and manage non-conformances.

About You 

You will be an excellent communicator who is driven, able to work independently and flexible to work across a diverse range of commodities.    In addition, to be a success you will need: 

• Min 5 years in a commercial/ Supply environment, Mining & Metals preferred 
• Minimum Diploma in Business, Commerce, Finance, Engineering or related disciplines 
• Strong experience in developing commercial strategies and leading high value strategic negotiations, strong understanding mining categories and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with functional business units 
• Strong excel and SAP skills (advantage) 
• Ability to regularly travel across our regional assets to foster relationships and provide in person support
