What we are looking for

Data Governance Architect to join our team and work alongside one of our financial services clients.

Initial 6 month contract with strong potential to extend. Hybrid model of 2 days in the CBD office.

• 5–7+ years’ experience delivering data governance architecture within large, regulated enterprises, with clear accountability for architectural direction rather than operational execution. 


•  Demonstrated capability designing end‑to‑end data lifecycle controls (create, use, retain, archive, dispose), embedded into system and platform architecture. 


•  Strong experience translating regulatory, privacy, and records obligations into system‑enforceable technical requirements and patterns. 


•  Proven expertise in defining retention, disposal, legal hold, and exception handling approaches that reduce over‑retention risk and support auditability. 


• Experience working with various aspects of data governance, including data disposition, data quality, and critical data elements (CDEs), with exposure to supporting governance tooling and implementation.


• Experience working across core operational platforms and enterprise data platforms (cloud and on‑prem).
