Data Lead

DWS is seeking a highly experienced Data Tech Lead / Senior Technical Data Delivery Lead for a major data migration with our client in the healthcare sector. Overseeing a team of data engineers, data analysts, and reporting specialists, you will lead this vital enterprise-wide data migration program leveraging predominantly Microsoft Fabric , Python , Pyspark .

There are various projects part of the program covering data migrations both to, and from, Dynamics 365, Salesforce, financial and clinical systems.

This is an opportunity to play the key technical data delivery role, focused on secure and scalable solutions for this vital health sector business.

Where: Brisbane (Sydney or Melbourne may potentially be considered)
Type: Max Term
Length : 7+ months, to end of 2026 initially - possibly longer
Start: Immediately (by early June)
Style: Hybrid; 3+ days onsite
Salary: Up to $230K (inc super) depending on experience

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Plan, lead, and coordinate all program-level data and reporting activities across clinical, financial, Salesforce, Dynamics 365 and enterprise workstreams; ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to data delivery
• Develop and maintain an end-to-end data migration and reporting roadmap; aligned to program milestones, platform releases, and phased rollout across sites
• Define and govern the overarching data strategy for the program; ensuring alignment with defined data architecture principles, Fabric and Azure platform patterns, and enterprise data standards
• Establish and enforce data governance practices; including data quality, naming conventions, lineage, security, privacy obligations, and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate complex data dependencies across multiple systems and domains; proactively identifying sequencing constraints, integration points, and cross-stream impacts
• Provide leadership and direction to development teams; ensuring clarity of priorities, consistent design patterns, and high-quality delivery outcomes
• Oversee data migration and reporting execution; ensuring readiness for trial runs, reconciliations, cutover, and production deployment
• Lead data risk and issue management; identifying, assessing, and driving resolution of risks related to data quality, migration, reporting, and platform integration
• Establish and monitor data quality and validation frameworks; ensuring robust reconciliation and traceability across all migrated and reported datasets
• Ensure alignment between upstream data engineering outputs and downstream reporting and analytics needs; bridging technical and business requirements
• Prepare high-quality status reporting for program leadership; including progress against roadmap, key risks, dependencies, and decisions required
• Support program governance forums; providing clear, actionable insights and recommendations to enable informed decision-making
• Drive continuous improvement in data delivery practices; focusing on scalability, performance, maintainability, and reuse across the program
• Act as the primary escalation point for data-related challenges across the program; providing pragmatic, outcome-focused resolution
