Financial Accountant | ASX Property | CBD | 12-month Contract

The Role

Responsible for accurate financial reporting, month-end processes, asset-level accounting, and tax support across the group. The role maintains strong controls and drives continuous improvement, while partnering with operational leaders and advisors to deliver reliable insights. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare statutory financial reports and manage the external audit process.
• Manage month-end close and management reporting across property, fund and corporate entities.
• Support budgeting, tax compliance, fund distributions and investor reporting.
• Provide timely accounting advice and insights to support operational decision-making.
• Contribute to process improvements, including ERP implementation initiatives.
• Proactively identify, manage and escalate risks while ensuring compliance with policies and controls.

Your Profile

You will be a solution-focused person with strong communication skills.

• 2+ years' experience in an ASX-listed, regulated or accounting firm environment is preferable
• Accounting/Finance/Commerce degree with CPA/CA (completed or near completion).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge; tax experience advantageous.
• Detail-oriented, proactive team player with strong communication and business partnering skills.
• Able to manage competing priorities with strong Excel and systems capability (Yardi advantageous).
