We are working with a leading real estate assets company undergoing significant growth across Australia and the broader region. Due to increased transaction activity and internal bandwidth constraints, they are seeking an experienced Property Lawyer to join their in-house legal team on a short-term contract (approx 6 months).

This is a high-impact role where you’ll step straight into live deals and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

The Role

Reporting into the General Counsel, you will support a broad range of property and commercial matters across multiple funds and assets, including:

• Acquisitions and divestments of property assets
  


• Development work, including building contracts and Agreements for Lease
  


• Leasing and asset management for stabilised assets
  


• General commercial contracting and advisory across the business
  

You will also work closely with external counsel, managing workflows, timelines and legal spend to ensure efficient delivery across transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Running transactions (with appropriate supervision) from end-to-end
  


• Partnering with internal stakeholders across development, capital transactions and asset management
  


• Managing and coordinating external law firms
  


• Providing clear, commercial and pragmatic legal advice
  


• Supporting multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  

About You

• Minimum 4+ years’ PQE in commercial property / real estate law
  


• Experience from a top-tier, mid-tier firm or in-house environment
  


• Strong exposure to property transactions, development and leasing
  


• Commercially minded, hands-on and solutions focused
  


• Able to hit the ground running and manage competing priorities
  


• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders across the business
