Media Advisor (12-14 month cover)

Ray White is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Media Advisor to join the team for a 12 to 14 month contract to cover a period of parental leave.

This role oversees the media Ray White Commercial, as part of the wider Ray White media team and in collaboration with the national marketing team. 

The Role
The Media Advisor is responsible for leading and coordinating a broad range of media relations, marketing communications, and content initiatives to support the Ray White Commercial network. This role is responsible for managing both commercial and residential media activity, including handling PR requests, producing thought-leadership content, preparing press releases, pitching stories to media, and maintaining strong relationships with journalists and industry contacts. A key component of this role includes overseeing the production of our network's Portfolio magazine as well as supporting internal communication initiatives such as The Insider newsletter by sourcing updates, case studies, and email campaigns. 

As Media Advisor, you will join a supportive, high-performing team dedicating to producing the best quality content in support of our network. As part of this, the Media Advisor will need to be available to work one Saturday shift per month (day in lieu provided) to cover weekend media. 

What You'll Do
The Media Advisor has a broad range of responsibilities supporting Ray White Commercial, these may include: 

• Act as an official media liaison for Ray White Group
• Focus on Commercial network, onboarding new business owners, executing media activities relating to brand milestones, key listings, new offices, and key recruits
• Identify news leads to create media opportunities for key personnel and the brand 
• Maintain and update our media database as well as managing our media partnerships
• Develop campaign strategies and align with research, content, and distribute media releases
• Manage content of the Portfolio Magazine and assist with the Insider and the White Report
• Track media engagement plus collect and analyze market insights to inform our network 
• Attend and present at corporate leadership meetings
• Write content for the Commercial Insider alongside our Communications team
• Other ad hoc duties within your capabilities as required (including some domestic travel as needed)

Who You Are
The ideal candidate for this role will be a people-person who possesses a strong level of self-management and initiative. We are looking for someone who: 

• displays strong written and verbal communication skills, and is confident picking up the phone to make calls
• can build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• is comfortable developing and executing strategic media plans
• has excellent technical copy-writing skills
• enjoys using data and insights to create people-friendly content
• has at least 1 - 2 years experience working as a real estate, finance, or business journalist (preferred) or similar role
• is looking to transition into a new industry where they can put their skills to good use
