Parametric Insurance Advisor

Authority is developing insurance-focused products, intelligence and advisory offerings for businesses. We are looking for a professional who is currently active in Australia and has direct parametric insurance experience to advise us as we develop and evaluate these offerings.

You will provide practical guidance on suitable risks, trigger design, data sources, pricing, basis risk, capacity, distribution and customer adoption.

What you will advise us on

• Commercial use cases for parametric insurance
• Trigger and payout structure design
• Data quality, independence and verification
• Basis risk and customer suitability
• Underwriting and pricing considerations
• Capacity, reinsurance and risk transfer
• Policy wording, regulation and customer communication
• Distribution through brokers, MGAs, carriers and technology platforms
• Parametric products covering operational, supply-chain, cyber, energy or other measurable commercial risks

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant insurance experience
• Currently operating in or closely involved with the Australia insurance market
• Up-to-date knowledge of local customers, regulation and market conditions
• Firsthand experience with insurance product, underwriting, claims, brokerage or distribution decisions
• A valid LinkedIn profile showing relevant professional experience

Engagement details

• Independent consulting contract
• Remote within Australia
• Approximately 2 to 4 paid consulting hours per month
• Flexible scheduling
