Payroll Officer

The Role:
We are working with a well-known organisation located in in South Sydney seeking two immediately available Payroll Officers to join their finance team on a contracting to permanent basis

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities
• Process accurate and timely weekly and/or fortnightly payrolls.
• Ensure payroll compliance including superannuation, PAYG, and leave entitlements
• Perform payroll reconciliations and support month-end activities.
• Handle complex payroll issues and act as the primary payroll contact for employees.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records and system data to ensure system accuracy.
• Respond to payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with payroll audits and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support Finance Managers and HR with payroll reporting and ad-hoc requests.

About You:

• Hands-on end-to-end payroll experience
• Ability to work independently in a standalone payroll role
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation
• Strong communication
• Ability to work across multiple entities
