Payroll Specialist

The Opportunity

We're partnering with a well-established, values-driven organisation seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team on a contract basis.

This is an immediate start opportunity, suited to someone who can confidently step into a hands-on, end-to-end payroll role and hit the ground running.

The business is flexible on full-time or part-time (0.8) for the right candidate and offers a collaborative, supportive environment with strong work-from-home options.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing
• Managing onboarding, contracts, and terminations
• Ensuring payroll compliance, reporting, and statutory lodgements
• Processing superannuation, leave entitlements, and reconciliations
• Responding to payroll queries across internal and external stakeholders
• Completing payroll reconciliations and supporting month-end reporting
• Supporting payroll system maintenance and process improvements

About You

• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll (standalone or lead role)
• Hands-on experience with Employment Hero (essential)
• Strong working knowledge of the SCHADS Award (essential)
• Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and accountability
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Confident working independently while partnering with the broader team
