Job Description - PeopleSoft Global Payroll Specialist (Security Clearance)

PeopleSoft Global Payroll & HCM Specialist

Security Clearance: Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for NV1

Join a critical Defence team supporting enterprise HR and payroll systems.

We're looking for a highly skilled PeopleSoft Global Payroll Specialist to join the Department of Defence's PMKeyS support team. This role is part of a long-term engagement under a national program delivering HR and payroll solutions in a secure and complex environment.

Key Responsibilities:

∙ Support the delivery and maintenance of PeopleSoft Global Payroll (GP) and Human Capital Management (HCM) modules.

∙ Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll issues to ensure accurate fortnightly pay runs.

∙ Provide configuration and end-user support within the PeopleSoft HCM/GP application.

∙ Design and recommend system and payroll control enhancements aligned with business needs.

∙ Engage with business and technical stakeholders to ensure effective solution delivery.

∙ Contribute to ongoing knowledge sharing, mentoring, and training activities within the team.

Required Experience:

∙ 5 years proven experience with PeopleSoft Global Payroll (v8 or v9) and HCM.

∙ Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including taxation and superannuation.

∙ Advanced analytical and fault-finding skills within HRIS environments.

∙ Proficient with PeopleTools and PeopleSoft Query.

∙ Experience in system and software testing (UAT, defect resolution, regression).

∙ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

∙ Familiarity with Defence systems (PMKeyS, DSM, IEnterprise) is a plus.

∙ Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors is desirable but not essential.
