South Coast Baptist College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teacher to join our team. The successful applicant will collaborate with the Head of Arts to deliver high-quality education and support students in their academic journey, ensuring adherence to the school’s mission, vision, and code of conduct.

Position Description:

• Deliver engaging, high-quality Drama lessons aligned with the WA Curriculum (ATAR and General).


• Foster creativity, collaboration, and inclusive learning environments that support diverse student needs.


• Collaborate with the Head of Arts and colleagues on programming, assessments, and productions.


• Support and coordinate College Drama performances, events, and productions.


• Contribute to students’ academic, social, and spiritual development within a Christian ethos.


• Participate in the broader life of the College, including co-curricular activities and community events.
  

Position Requirements:

• Degree in Education with TRBWA registration and recognized teaching qualifications.


• Demonstrated success in teaching Drama at the secondary school level, with strong curriculum knowledge.


• Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment using effective management strategies.


• Proficiency in educational technology and excellent communication skills for building positive relationships.


• Commitment to the Christian values and ethos of South Coast Baptist College, with a focus on professional growth.

Essential Criteria:

• To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.


• To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.


• To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.


• Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.


• Work to ensure personal best practice.


• Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.


• Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.


• Always act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.


• Adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.


• First Aid certificate.


• Working With Children Card.
