The Company

Robert Half Technology are working exclusively with a leading Australian financial services organisation undergoing a major data transformation program. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in modernising a large-scale enterprise data environment.

The Role

This is a 12 month fixed term contract, starting within the next 4 weeks. You'll be part of a high-performing data team delivering a cloud migration from a traditional on-premise data warehouse into a modern Azure-based platform.

What you'll be working on:

• Migrating legacy SQL Server data warehouse workloads to the cloud
• Transforming SSIS pipelines into scalable Azure Data Factory solutions
• Rebuilding SSAS models and analytics layers in Databricks
• Designing and implementing modern ELT patterns in a cloud environment
• Building and optimising cloud data lake architecture (Azure Data Lake Storage)
• Ingesting and structuring raw/curated data layers (bronze/silver/gold)
• Refactoring SQL stored procedures into modular Databricks notebooks (PySpark/SQL)
• Supporting end-to-end data platform modernisation and optimisation

Your Profile

• Strong experience with SQL Server data warehousing
• Hands-on background with SSIS and SSAS
• Experience with Databricks (PySpark preferred)
• Azure Data Factory (ADF) exposure
• Proven experience in cloud data migration projects
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
