Senior Financial Accountant

Your Opportunity

We're partnered with a well-established organisation based in the inner suburbs of Brisbane with easy access via public transport that is going through a critical period of system and process validation following a recent implementation. With flexibility around start/finish times, this is a great opportunity to join a high-performing, supportive team that values initiative and fresh thinking.

This is a 2-3 month contract with an immediate start, and you'll be stepping into a key role reporting directly to the Financial Controller. You'll be joining a recently built finance team made up of strong performers who are collaborative, driven, and supportive, giving you lots of autonomy.

You'll play an important role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance during a crucial period, specifically focusing on validating system integrity. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail and persistence will be key.

Your Responsibilities:

• Validating accuracy of financial data within newly implemented systems
• Reviewing and reconciling complex transactions
• Investigating discrepancies between systems and resolving allocation issues
• Manually unwinding and reprocessing transactions where required
• Ensuring all payments are correctly matched to clients and invoices
• Supporting compliance requirements and reducing financial risk

Who You Are

This role will suit someone who enjoys getting into the detail and solving problems.

• CA/CPA qualified
• Excellent attention to detail
• Persistent and solutions-focused mindset
• Strong Excel skills
• Prior experience in AP/AR would be highly regarded
