Senior Financial Accountant

Your Opportunity

We're partnering with a well-established and innovative business based in Brisbane's western suburbs, offering on-site parking. With headquarters in Brisbane and a growing global footprint, they combine commercial operations with a unique, science-driven environment.

You'll join a close-knit finance team and report directly to an experienced CFO, with support from a highly capable Financial Controller. You will provide immediate support across a broad range of finance activities. This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of key accounting processes while supporting wider finance operations during a busy period.

This is a 3-month contract with an immediate start.

About the Role

You can expect to be hands-on with:

• Day-to-day accounting, including reconciliations, journals, and payments
• Month-end close, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Business reporting and expenditure analysis
• BAS, PAYG, super, payroll tax, and annual tax returns
• Payroll processing and system maintenance
• Statutory reporting and audit support
• Fixed assets, WIP, inventory, and equity reporting
• AP/AR support and compliance management
• Process improvements, controls, and ad hoc finance support

Who You Are

You're a technically strong and adaptable Senior Financial Accountant who's happy to roll up your sleeves. You bring strong attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.

• CA/CPA qualified
• Advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail and strong stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, adaptable, and willing to take on a variety of tasks
• Experience with payroll
