The Company

Our client is a leading Melbourne-based Not-for-Profit with a reputation for excellence and community impact. Known for their collaborative culture and mission-driven approach, they are currently undergoing a period of refinement within their finance function. They offer a professional, supportive environment where the CFO is highly engaged and looking for a true partner to assist with critical systems optimisation.

The Role

This is not a "maintenance" role. We are seeking a proactive Systems Accountant to come in for a 3-4 month period to drive tangible change. Reporting directly to the CFO, your mandate will be to scrutinise existing processes and find ways to make the finance function leaner, faster, and more accurate.

This is a project-focused role where you will have the autonomy to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that will leave a lasting change for the organisation.

• Driving process improvement and automation across the finance function.
• Liaising between Finance and IT to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
• Troubleshooting system issues and identifying "quick wins" for workflow efficiency.
• Assisting the CFO with ad-hoc strategic projects related to system capabilities.
• And support the BAU finance function.

Your Profile

You are a "systems-first" accounting professional who thrives on variety and problem-solving. You are likely a seasoned contractor or a specialist who enjoys the challenge of entering an organisation, diagnosing issues, and "fixing" them within a set timeframe.

While experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly regarded, we are ultimately looking for a tech-savvy systems expert. If you've mastered other complex ERPs and pride yourself on your ability to learn new software rapidly, we want to hear from you.

Change Management: A proven ability to drive process improvements rather than just following a manual.

Communication: The ability to translate technical system talk into clear, actionable insights for the CFO and the broader team.
