Temporary HR Specialist | NFP | Immediate Start!

The Company

Our client is a well-established NFP organisation providing care and support services. They are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to support their P&C team during a busy period of growth and transition, playing a key role in managing contracts, compliance, and onboarding processes, where knowledge of employment law are critical. This role is a temporary position with the potential to go permanent.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing and processing employment contracts and contract variations
• Managing employee changes (e.g. casual to permanent transitions)
• Supporting onboarding processes, ensuring all compliance requirements are met
• Maintaining and updating employee data within the HRIS
• Monitoring and tracking compliance requirements
• Reviewing and quality-checking all employment documentation prior to issue
• Coordinating and tracking onboarding progress through internal systems and spreadsheets
• Supporting the wider team with HR administration and recruitment processes

Your Profile

You will be a detail-oriented HR professional with a strong background in HR operations and compliance. You will be confident managing high volumes of work and working within structured processes.

Key requirements:

• Proven experience managing employment contracts and variations
• Strong understanding of employment law, awards and classifications (SCHADS awards)
• Experience working in a high-volume HR administration or HR operations role
• Exposure to compliance-heavy environments (aged care, healthcare or NFP highly regarded)
• Experience using HRIS systems (Dayforce highly desirable)
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines
• Proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to hit the ground running
