Robert Half are exclusively recruiting an immediately available Accounts Officer for an international company located in Melbourne CBD, offering a hybrid work model. This is a temp opportunity with the opportunity to go permanent.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end accounts receivable, accounts payable, month-end duties and assisting the finance team when required.


If you are immediately available, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.



The role:


As the Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for:


Accounts Payable:

• Account reconciliations
• Processing a high-volume of invoices and credit notes
• Accurate coding and data input
• Resolving queries via email and phone
• Assisting with pay-runs

Accounts Receivable:

• Managing and updating the accounts receivable ledger
• Account reconciliations
• Invoicing customers and sending out payment reminders as needed
• Creating payment plans
• Creating, setting up and maintaining new customer accounts including conducting credit worthiness checks, setting credit limits, and pausing accounts if needed

Your profile:


To be successful in this role you will need a background in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, as well as a great attitude. As this is a temporary opportunity, you will need to be immediately available. The following attributes are also highly advantageous:

• Intermediate excel skills
• Experience with an ERP system
• Team Player
• Excellent communication skills
