Accountant

MKS Imports & Exports PTY Ltd is looking for a full-time accountant to join our team.

As an accountant, you will be required to:

• · Summarise current financial records by collecting information, prepare cash flow statements and other financial statements for the management.
• · Prepare quarterly and yearly financial reports accurately, on a timely basis, and ensure they are compliant with statutory requirements.
• · Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, budget monitoring, and control, and analyzing the variances against the planned budget.
• · Prepare BAS, PAYG summary, GST, and other tax obligations as applicable in a timely manner.
• · Ensure accuracy in account coding, proper approval, and substantiation of invoices as per accounting standards and industry regulatory bodies.
• · Assist in the internal and external audit process and complying with relevant audit requirements.
• · Ensure the adequacy and operation of financial controls in respect to payroll, credit control, general ledger, and accounts payable and monitor their compliance with defined procedures and controls.
• · Review and maintain the company’s accounting controls by drafting accounting policies, standardizing, and documenting financial workflows and processes.
• · Maintain and upgrade accounting systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and relevance of financial procedures throughout the business.

Skills and experience

• · Qualifications in Finance or Accounting.
• · Minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
• · Experience in using MYOB software.
• · Advanced Microsoft skills and problem-solving skills.
• · Demonstrate ability to collaborate and work well within a team.
• · Accuracy and attention to detail.
• · Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• · Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written communication).

Type – Full-time

Salary – $74,000 plus superannuation

Location – Dandenong South, VIC 3175
