Job Description - Business Analyst

Business Analyst Clerk Grade: 7/8, base salary starting at $106,025 - $117,363 plus superannuation and leave loading
Employment Type: Ongoing, full-time opportunity
Flexible location - role can be based in Sydney / Bathurst / Gosford. Hybrid working options available and all flexible working arrangements considered including part-time, part-year and job-share. An exciting ongoing opportunity has arisen for a Business Analyst to join the NSW Telco Authority, a rapidly growing part of Digital.NSW within the Department of Customer Service. The role sits within the Commercial Team in the Property Management team of NSW Telco Authority.


The Property Management team are responsible for the strategic development and ongoing management of Telco Authority's property and colocation portfolio. We manage BAU property activities and support major projects with the acquisition, development, maintenance, security, and operation of access rights and/or telecommunication infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be a proactive individual and play a key role in providing financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting within the Property Management team. In this role you will:

  • Budget, forecast & report on rental portfolio
  • Streamline month end activities
  • Identify process improvement opportunities
  • Liaise with property & infrastructure owners in relation to payments
  • Manage Procurement Requisition Form's for Purchase Orders
  • Data entry of contracts in SAPRE
  • Facilitate payment of rentals
  • Perform ad hoc property related tasks

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Background in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Proven experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of month end activities
  • Adept commun ication skills
  • Experience with SAP/SAPRE preferred but not essential

We lead and coordinate whole-of-government connectivity strategy to bridge the digital divide and help keep people and places safe.
