Group Accountant

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing financial analysis and reporting to senior management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Provide support to other departments, including HR and operations, on financial matters
• Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA or equivalent professional certification
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Experience with financial analysis and reporting, including budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Office based in Welshpool (with parking)
