Pit Controller - Experienced

The Opportunities:

1.  Full-time hours continuous shift roster : days/nights/weekends

2.  Part-time hours .5 sportsmans shift roster : days/mon-fri/weekends

Working collaboratively with the onsite leadership team and using advanced, real time technology, the Mine Controller will be experienced in holding accountability for all aspects of pit operations with a focus on optimisation of safety, production and equipment to align with daily mine plans.

About You:

The successful candidates will have a background working as a Pit/Mine Control Technician within an open-cut mining operations and able to proficiently manage the Fleet Management Systems such as Hexagon Mine Operate Pro (FMS L1 Hexagon Certification).

You will be highly motivated with strong communication skills to positively interact and influence across teams.  Ideally applicants will work with an improvement intent and the ability to transfer knowledge to identify best practice across the wider business.

Essential Criteria:

• Experienced in a similar role with day to day accountability around production data analysis and reporting
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug FMS software
• Eye for detail and discipline for accuracy with data integrity along with co-ordination of correcting validation errors
• Shift prioritisation of ore feed to crusher in line with the daily mine plan along with reporting of downstream production delays or safety concerns
• Monitor Mine noise level compliance
• Short Interval Control (SIC) data availability to operational teams
• An advanced ability in numeracy and literacy skills with extensive experience using Microsoft Office package

Only candidates who meet the criterion above and reside local to Mandurah and the Peel region within one hour from the Boddington Mine Site will be considered for this DIDO work.
