About the role An exciting opportunity working for an iconic Australian brand currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. As a Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounting processes. Your primary focus will be on utilizing NetSuite to its full potential, harnessing its capabilities to clean up and optimize our financial systems. From reconciling accounts to generating insightful reports, your contributions will directly impact our bottom line and drive our business forward.
Key Responsibilities Include: - Utilize NetSuite to manage project finances, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Clean up existing financial systems, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance financial reporting accuracy.
- Perform reconciliations, variance analysis, and budget tracking to support project planning and decision-making.
- Generate detailed financial reports to provide valuable insights for management review.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and NetSuite advancements to continuously improve processes and systems.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Accountant or similar role, with proficiency in NetSuite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Proactive mindset with a drive to identify and implement process improvements.
- CPA certification or progress towards certification is a plus.
