Accountant

Job Description:

Sempra Energy is seeking an Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland, AU. The ideal candidate will be reliable, driven, possess emotional intelligence, and have strong critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities: - Prepare financial statements and reports - Analyze financial data and identify trends - Assist with budgeting and forecasting - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations - Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies - Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information - Assist with audits and tax preparation - Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - 1 year of accounting experience preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
