THE ROLE
Employee Relations is a specialist team within HR responsible for providing support and advice on the implementation of the University’s employment and industrial frameworks.
Reporting to the Manager, the Senior Employee Relations Consultant will work with a team of specialists and partner with a diverse range of stakeholders on the provision of advice and support in managing complex and sensitive employment matters. Your day-to-day activities will include:
About You
We are looking for a qualified and experienced candidate with strong consulting, coaching and communication skills and the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
You will have working knowledge of the Australian legal and industrial framework at both state and federal levels. You will demonstrate experience and strong ability in providing expert advice with respect to legislative, EA and policy requirements, managing complex and sensitive matters within a large and matrixed organisation.
You are highly organised and have a methodical approach to your work.
Your experience in a similar role within the higher education sector will be highly regarded but is not essential.
