Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for an Administrative Assistant at Fawcett & Company Chartered Accountants in Richmond, VIC. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for handling sensitive documents, managing client accounts, and providing stellar administrative support. While we welcome all applicants, this position is particularly well-suited for university students seeking to integrate their studies with practical work experience in the accounting field.

Proposed Pay Rate: $24-26 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process essential company documentation such as invoices, payment checks, and prepare weekly Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports (MYOB)
  • Oversee all client documents pertaining to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) using CAS360
  • Manage the company’s mailbox and correspondences with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
  • Manage Pay As You Go (PAYG) Instalments for clients, including sending out debt reminders.
  • Prepare and upload documents for fund statements to Evolv White to support managerial audit tasks.
  • Register new clients on BGL 360 and handle the processing of opening balances for funds.
  • Maintain daily communication with clients to ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to streamline office operations.

Qualifications/ Experiences

  • Open to all applicants; ideal for university students studying Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting software like BGL 360 and Evolv White preferred.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with utmost discretion.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Team player, enthusiastic, and energetic, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrates strong self-learning ability, able to adapt and acquire new skills independently.
