Job Description - Administrator/Bid Coordinator

Why is this role for you? Let's be honest, doing admin work in an office can sometimes get a bit boring. Day in, day out it's the same old thing and there isn't much opportunity for you to learn new skills. You fancy a change. A new challenge. And this role may be right up your alley. You enjoy working on computers and believe you can pick up using new software quickly. Like InDesign for example. In this role, you'd go on a 2-day course to get the basics of how to use Indesign which you'll use to produce submission and bid documents for a construction company. In time, your skills will improve as you learn more and you'll soon be working on projects ranging from $1-$100million in value. Meaning you'd be making a big difference to the success of the company which will give you job satisfaction. You’ll be around a team of 9 in the office (110 in the business) and your boss has been there 17 years (even doing this role herself at one point) so you’ll be looked after and shown how to do things the right way. What will you like about working here? All the staff love the yearly $300 subsidy to put towards their health and fitness hobbies each year and if you enjoy sport, it’s an office of cyclists, runners, swimmers, and footy tipsters so there is always something going on. You may enjoy the quarterly events like axe throwing, meals out and bowling; the team like to bond outside work as well as in it. Initially, the salary is in the $70k-$85k + super range, there is free parking nearby or you are a stone’s throw away from Pymble station if public transport is your thing. There will be a big of admin in the role such as answering calls, assisting with event manager, attending visitors, ordering stock etc but the majority of the time you'd be working on submissions. This sounds perfect, but what do you expect from me? You don’t need to be the finished article to apply for this role as training is provided but you’d need to tick the 5 attributes below to be in with a shout.

  • You’ve worked in a busy office environment before for at least 1 year and you want to have a long-term career with a company
  • You are very confident using computers and want to learn how to use InDesign
  • You can multi-task and don’t mind the pressure of deadlines
  • You live within a 30-minute commute of Pymble
  • You can fully commit to office hours of 8.30 - 5.30 Monday to Friday
I’m intrigued, what’s the next step? You don’t need to send a CV at this stage. Just call James on for an informal chat or send me an email telling me why you’re interested. If you are super keen and do want to send your CV then email me at or click APPLY NOW Everyone will receive a response within 48 hours. #SCR-james-davis
