I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency, in the heart of Geelong to recruit an APS5 Procurement Officer for a 12-month, full-time temporary assignment with the potential to extend.
Your new role
As the APS5 Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing level administrative support to the Procurement team, managing confidential and sensitive information.
- Providing procurement advice and support
- Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines
- Assisting with tracking value for money based outcomes and preparing reports against KPIs.
- Preparing a range of procurement related documentation.
- Drafting correspondence and reports, including emails and letters.
- Entering, extracting and manipulating data to enable accurate reporting.
- Contributing to team activities includes identifying opportunities for improvements.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed as the APS5 Procurement Officer, you will need:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated experience working autonomously
- Federal, State or Local Government experience
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and ability to multitask
- The ability to remain composed in a changing, fast-paced environment
- Previous experience using HR and/or Finance business systems
- Understanding of procurement or recruitment processes
- Experience working within the disability sector
- Australian Citizenship
