Job Description - APS Procurement Officer

HOBAN Recruitment is excited to present an opportunity for an APS5 Level Procurement Specialist (Labour Hire) in DEAKIN ACT on behalf of our esteemed client. If you're ready to excel in a dynamic environment and contribute to impactful procurement strategies, this role is for you!



About the Role:

  • Manage confidential data with precision, providing level administrative support to the Procurement team.
  • Offer procurement advice and assistance to various departments within the Agency, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the achievement of value for money outcomes, tracking progress against KPIs and preparing insightful reports.
  • Draft various procurement documents, correspondence, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Utilise data management skills to facilitate precise Agency reporting and analysis.
  • Engage in team and branch planning initiatives, actively identifying opportunities for process enhancements.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support and managing sensitive information.
  • Proficient understanding of procurement principles, including compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to draft clear and concise documents.
  • Competency in data management and reporting, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Federal, State or Local Government experience.
  • Understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
