Salary:
UOM 6 – $96,459 - $104,413 p.a. plus 17% super

  • Lead an exciting project to redevelop the Doherty Institute website and intranet.
  • Manage and optimise the Doherty Institute's digital channels, including website, intranet, CRM, social media, and EDM campaigns.

About the Role
Based in the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, the Digital Marketing Officer is a key member of the Communications Team, responsible for managing and optimising the Institute's digital channels, including the website, intranet, CRM, and social media. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, this role involves using platform analytics to inform strategy and improvements, leading digital development projects, and providing guidance on branding and communications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage coordination of content for digital channels
  • Use native platform analytics to regularly report on performance and identify areas of improvement to meet the needs of target audiences
  • Develop and demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills
  • Jointly supervise the Administration and Communications Assistant, providing guidance on branding and communications support

Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will have high-level verbal and written communication skills, expertise in digital channels and analytics, and demonstrated experience in project or campaign management. They will excel in building and maintaining relationships, operating independently in rapidly changing environments, and producing engaging digital content, all while ensuring professionalism and confidentiality.

You will also have:

  • Completion of a marketing or communications-relevant degree, (or completion of a diploma qualification and subsequent relevant work experience) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects or campaigns
  • Proven ability to build, establish and maintain relationships and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Expertise in the production of targeted, engaging communications for digital channels

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
