Job Description - Dynamics Finance & Operations

About the role

  • 12 Months Contract
  • Canberra Location
  • Federal Government

We are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Consultant  to support our large Federal Government client on a 12 months contract.

The purpose of the role is to support an on-premises Dynamics 365 implementation in order to reinforce the organizations investment management process and related systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical expertise (development and administration) in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ERP platform.
  • Manage security roles and authorization of users.
  • Responsible for Case Management to triage issues, conduct troubleshooting, assist end-users with functional questions, provide break-fix resolution.
  • Maintain system through test and deployment of patches and hotfixes.
  • Analyze Microsoft enhancements and updates to Dynamics, assessing impact to implementation and developing action plans to apply enhancements and eliminate issues.
  • Manage and report on metrics related to the operations, performance, and availability of Dynamics365 F&O
  • Manage non-production environments with configuration and data synchronization, automated backups, and decommissioning of environments no longer in use.
  • Proactively identify improvement or optimization opportunities based on best practices.


Skills Required

  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamic Finance & Operations (F&O) in a technical role required.
  • Combined 3 years demonstrated experience developing custom applications, interfaces and reports with Microsoft Dynamics.
  • 3-5 years managing the administration, troubleshooting and issue resolution within Dynamics365 F&O environment.
  • 3+ years of proven expertise customizing Microsoft Dynamics. Including 1+ years of development experience on Microsoft Dynamic AX and/or D365 F&O with Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to create technical design documents, unit test scripts etc.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of SDLC methodologies and best practices.
