This is a temporary full time 38 hours per week leave relief position until 29th December 2024 with the possibility of extension.

What you'll be doing

Provide a range of high level administrative and clerical support services to enable the ISLHD Equipment Services to achieve their objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.

The role of this position is to implement standardised practices across all sites to ensure equitable service provision. The position will monitor activity across the district and provide monthly reports to management on the operational performance including statistics, financial statements and stock maintenance across the five ELP and three Palliative Care Equipment loan Pool PCELP sites.

The position will also involve coordination of heavy equipment delivery and pick-up when required.
The position will be required to work under minimal supervision and will supervise PKH staff in the ELP and provide support and training to administration staff at the satellite ELP sites.

This position is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of the database for all electric equipment in the ELP and related work environment. The position is responsible for the maintenance of the electrical integrity and safety of all electrical equipment for hire through the ELP as per Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760 : 2003, OHS Act 2000, OHS Regulation 2001 and code of practice - electrical practice for construction, via the inspection and testing with a calibrated portable appliance tester (PAT); tagging the required equipment and maintaining current records and historical records in line with the previously stated, standards, acts and regulations.

Selection Criteria

  • Current Class C Drivers licence (manual transmission) and current certification (or ability to obtain) electrical tagging qualification.
  • Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks while managing competing work priorities and work flow within allocated resources.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and safe application of equipment hire/disability related equipment with experience in leading, developing and coordinating health related equipment services.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing a diverse administrative role, including creation and maintenance of data systems, budget monitoring, stock inventory and ordering and risk management.
  • Experience of responding to a range of customer enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environment.
  • High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures.
  • Proven ability to appropriately prioritise administrative and operational duties in an environment of competing demands.
