Hostel Manager

We are seeking an ambitious, dynamic and responsible Hostel Manager to oversee an adventure tourism hostel in Broome, WA. This exciting new role will assist us in transforming the property and business to realise our vision.

Responsibilities may include but not be limited to the following:

• Manage day to day hostel operation.
• Effectively monitor overhead and operations budgets.
• Effectively monitor staff performance.
• Required to hold Approved Manager Permits.
• Maintain a cloud reservations system.
• Manage hostel bookings from Agent, OTA, and direct trade channels.
• Hostel staff payroll reporting.
• Pool testing & standards.
• Handle daily morning checkout periods.
• Daily housekeeping services & laundry management
• Conduct Airport / Beach Transfers if required
• Night Management & Bar Operations.
• Maintain Bar stock, ordering and related systems
• Develop & implement evening activity programs such as Movie Nights and Sausage Sizzles.
• Night Reporting, Cash Balancing and System Rollover
• Evening Security Lockup
• Ensure WA Worksafe compliance.
• Ensure adherence to liquor licensing laws.
• Ensure guests abide by hostel rules & regulations.
• Recruit and implement training of staff.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
• Manage external contractors when required.
• Implement yield management in response to related tour operations, general occupancy and seasonality.
• Other Ad-Hoc Duties as required.
